Bernard "BJ" Esarey

Associate Research & Development Engineer




Mr. Esarey has a Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, Indiana. He has previously worked for Focus Surgery Inc., which works with the treatment of prostate cancer through high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). There he was listed as a co-inventor on a company patent.




Kriss K. Donker

Business / Operations Manager





Ms Donker is responsible for accounting, customer service, website design and maintenance, NIH reporting and has been instrumental as a liaison with new and existing distributors of the ActiCuf™ product. She was previously employed by Champion Air as a System Operational Controller where she managed day-to day airline activities including planning, scheduling, reporting and customer service. Ms Donker has also been Chief Financial Officer and Business Manager of Hastings Outdoors, Inc. a local sporting goods retailer. She is currently working toward her BS in Business Management at Metropolitan State University (St. Paul, MN).



Gerald W. Timm, Ph.D.

Founder & President

Dr. Timm has been a prolific developer of urological devices for the diagnosis and treatment of incontinence and erectile dysfunction for 40+ years.
















Dr. Gerald W. Timm’s formal education was in engineering at the University of Minnesota where he earned B.E.E., M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. (E.E.) degrees in 1963, ‘65 and ‘67, respectively. Upon completion, he joined the faculties of the U of MN Medical School’s Departments of Neurology and Biomedical Engineering, researching problems of the pelvic organs resulting from spinal cord injury, stroke and other neurological disorders. This work resulted in the conceptualization and subsequent development of a variety of devices for diagnosing and treating urinary control and male erectile disorders.   more info...



Jeffrey M. Shapiro

Chief Financial Officer


Mr. Shapiro has 37 years of finance and accounting experience. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President of Michael Foods. Mr. Shapiro was instrumental in growing Michael Foods from a small food manufacturing and distribution business to a $1.3 billion publicly held company before it went private. He is retired yet consults with a number of companies, from start-ups to the well established.




Tim Horan

Board Member and Consultant


Mr. Horan has over 30 years of sales and general management experience including over 20 years as an operating CEO. Mr. Horan owned and operated a wine and spirits distribution business, doubling revenue in ten years before selling it in 2001. He holds a masters degree in Organizational Management and is currently a partner and principal at Indian River Consulting Group, LLC, a 20-year-old consulting company specializing in distribution and channel management.
